Lume Home lamps are made in their home studio and fired in a hand-built gas kiln. The wood components are made by a local Portland wood turner.

Black Sgraffito
Sgraffito is a form of decoration made by scratching through a surface to reveal a lower layer of a contrasting color. Lume Home has scratched through a matte black engobe to reveal white lines for a dramatic effect.

Walnut Caramel
Lume’s most unpredictable glaze which produces a lot of wonderful surprises. This lamp’s glaze is very reactive and each firing results in a fluid and occasionally crystalline surface.
