Red Kasuri-Ori Igeta
Kasuri, a traditional Japanese fabric, derived from the word “kasureru” meaning “blurred” is created using individually dyed threads that are skillfully woven into the patterns you see here. Kurume is famous for its woven kasuri fabrics. Many craftsmen in the city have used the same wooden looms and weaving techniques for generations. This produces a unique patterning and texture that differs on each side of the fabric.
